Land Rover Discovery 1 fuel filler door latch clip (single, V3)

This replacement latch clip is printed to order in tough PETG. It is intended to replace a fuel filler door latch clip that is broken or missing. This version is designed to be reinforced with an M3 x 25 bolt and an M3 hex nut, which are not included.

What you get

• One replacement fuel door latch clip in tough PETG, black (the designer's V3 version).
• Clip only: the fuel filler door, the M3 x 25 bolt, the M3 hex nut and any other fixings are not included.

Intended for

The design is based on a latch clip the designer made for their own Land Rover Discovery 1 when the original was missing. The designer reports that their V3 clip, printed in PLA with the bolt and nut fitted, has been on their car for over three years, and that an earlier fully printed version without a bolt broke within a week. We have not yet confirmed the fit on this model.

Check the fit

Compare your fuel filler door and latch with the photos before ordering. If you are unsure, message us with your vehicle model and year and clear photos of the fuel door, the latch area and any remains of the old clip, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The clip is designed to take an M3 x 25 bolt and an M3 hex nut, which you will need to supply; the designer found that a clip without the bolt did not last. Please message us before ordering if you need to know how the bolt goes in.

After fitting, check that the fuel filler door closes fully and stays shut before driving, and check the clip from time to time.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for the clip, in black. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
