Skoda Octavia 2 rear air vent slat holder and slat (set of 2)

This two-part repair set – one slat holder and one slat – is printed to order in tough PETG. It is intended for a rear air vent where the slat (louvre) mounts have broken, so a new slat on its own would have nothing to hold it. The holder goes against the centre section of the vent and carries the new, shorter slat.

What you get

• One slat holder and one slat in tough PETG, black. The slat is the designer's shorter version, made for use with the holder.
• Parts only: the vent unit, any further slats and any screws or other fixings are not included.
• One slat is supplied – please check how many you need before ordering.

Intended for

The design is based on a repair the designer made for the damaged rear ventilation of a Skoda Octavia 2. The designer suggests it may suit other cars after small changes, but only the Octavia 2 version is offered here. We have not yet confirmed the fit on this model.

Check the fit

This set contains one holder and one slat. The designer's holder repair replaces all the slats on the damaged side of the vent, so you may need more than one slat; please message us before ordering to check what you need.

Compare your vent with the photos before ordering. If you are unsure, message us with your car model and year and clear photos of the vent and the broken slat mounts, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The designer recommends removing the vent unit from the car, taking out all the slats on the damaged side, checking that the turning mechanism still works and removing the broken slat mounts. The holder is then placed against the centre section (the designer reports no glue is needed) and the slats are fitted into it.

The slat pivots are thin and the slat has to be bent slightly to insert it, so handle it gently. Take care when removing and refitting the vent, and check that it is held securely and the slats turn as intended before driving.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for both parts, in black. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
