Renault Twizy charging flap hinges (pair)

This pair of replacement charging flap hinges is printed to order in tough PETG. They are intended to repair a charging flap whose original hinges have broken, instead of replacing the whole flap. They are bolted to your existing flap; bolts, nuts and washers are not included.

What you get

Intended for

The design is based on hinges made to repair the charging flap of the Renault Twizy, where the designer notes the original hinges commonly break because the material is thin. We have not yet confirmed the fit on this model.

Check the fit

Compare your charging flap and the broken hinges with the photos before ordering. If you are unsure, message us with your vehicle model and year and clear photos of the charging flap and where the old hinges broke off, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The designer's fixings for the pair are two M4 x 20 bolts, two M4 nuts and two M4 washers (stainless steel in their case). These are not included.

The designer positions the new hinges using the marks left by the broken ones, then marks and drills the bolt holes through the flap. Drilling cannot be undone, so check the position carefully before you drill.

Before driving, check that the charging flap closes fully and stays shut: the designer notes that the Twizy will not move if the charging flap is not closed properly. Check the hinges and bolts from time to time.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for the hinges, in black. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
