Yamaha WX air inlet elbow

This replacement air inlet elbow is printed to order in tough PETG. The designer describes it as a part that is often missing from older instruments, and one that helps stop condensation from your breath reaching the breath sensor inside.

What you get

• One replacement air inlet elbow in tough PETG.
• Elbow only: the wind controller and mouthpiece are not included.
• It sits in the breath path – see FITTING below.

Intended for

The design is based on an air inlet elbow made for the Yamaha WX7, WX11 and WX5 MIDI wind controllers. We have not yet confirmed the fit on each model.

Check the fit

Check where the air inlet sits on your instrument before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us with your instrument model and clear photos of the area near the mouthpiece where the air inlet connects, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

This part sits in the breath path next to the mouthpiece. Clean it before first use and regularly afterwards, and check that the connection is airtight after fitting.

Whether the printed material is suitable for food contact has not yet been confirmed. Please contact us before ordering if this matters to you.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for the elbow, in black. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
