VW Karmann LT31 habitation door hold-open catch (single)

This replacement habitation door hold-open catch is printed to order in ASA, a heat- and UV-resistant material. It is intended to replace a door catch that is broken or missing. It is the catch only – screws and fixings are not included.

Intended for

The design is based on a door catch the designer modified for the habitation door of his VW Karmann LT31. We have not yet confirmed the fit on each model.

Check the fit

The designer reports hole spacings of 30 mm and 45 mm on his catch; please compare these with the fixing holes on your door before ordering. If you are unsure, message us with your vehicle model and clear photos of the old catch and its fixing holes, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

Fix the catch securely with screws suited to your vehicle (not included). After fitting, check that it holds the door open firmly and releases cleanly, and that the door still closes and locks normally. Do not rely on the catch alone to hold the door open in strong wind.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. ASA, a heat- and UV-resistant material, is used for the catch, in black. Ours is printed in black, which may differ from your existing catch. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
