Will this fit?

Models & fit limits: The design is based on an adapter made for the Technics SL-1200 MK5, used with the Reloop dust cover for the RP-2000 / RP-4000. The designer had no other SL-1200 versions to try, so we do not claim a fit on the MK2, MK3, MK7 or SL-1210 variants. We have not yet confirmed the fit on this model.
What arrives: Two hinge adapters in black PETG – one for each hinge mount. Adapters only: the Reloop dust cover and its hinges, the four M3 x 10 mm screws, the M3 tap and the turntable are not included. Fitting requires tapping the turntable's hinge-mount holes – see FITTING below.

This pack of two hinge adapters is printed to order in tough PETG. They are intended to let a Reloop replacement dust cover (the type made for the Reloop RP-2000 and RP-4000) hinge onto the hinge mounts of a Technics SL-1200 MK5, whose original cover is hard to find.

What you get

Two hinge adapters in black PETG – one for each hinge mount.
Adapters only: the Reloop dust cover and its hinges, the four M3 x 10 mm screws, the M3 tap and the turntable are not included.
Fitting requires tapping the turntable's hinge-mount holes – see FITTING below.

Check the fit

Check that your turntable is an SL-1200 MK5 and that your replacement cover is the Reloop RP-2000 / RP-4000 type before ordering. If you are unsure, message us with clear photos of the hinge mounts on the turntable and the hinges on the cover, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The designer taps the two unthreaded hinge-mount holes on each side of the MK5 to M3, fixes each adapter with two M3 x 10 mm socket-cap screws (not included), pushes the Reloop cover's hinge posts into the adapters and then mounts the cover. Tapping cannot be undone, so please be sure before you start. The designer notes that the hinge sits about 1.5 mm further back than the original position, which is not normally noticeable. After fitting, check that the cover opens, stays open and closes as intended before regular use.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough black PETG is used for the adapters. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
