Pioneer A-717 small control knob

This small control knob is printed to order in heat- and UV-resistant ASA. It is the treble, balance, bass or phono type of knob, sold singly, and is intended to replace a lost or cracked original on a vintage integrated amplifier.

What you get

• One small control knob in black ASA.
• Knob only: the set screw, the amplifier and any other knobs are not included.
• Fixing details are being confirmed – see FITTING below.

Intended for

The design is based on a knob made for the Pioneer A-717 integrated amplifier. A used-market listing also mentions the A-91D. We have not yet confirmed the fit on each model.

Check the fit

Compare your original knob or the bare control shaft before ordering. The designer describes the knob as made for a 6 mm round shaft; please check your shaft matches. If you are unsure, contact us with your amplifier model and clear photos of the knob position and the shaft, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

Switch off and unplug the amplifier before fitting or adjusting the knob. The designer's file uses an M3 x 4 mm set screw to hold the knob on the shaft; the screw is not included. Please contact us before ordering if you need to know exactly which fixings are required. Tighten the screw gently and check the control turns smoothly before regular use.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Black ASA, which is heat- and UV-resistant, is used for the knob. It is a plain black knob with no logo and no painted or metal-look finish. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
