Macintosh SE second drive-bay blanking plate

This blanking plate is printed to order in tough PETG, with a lens area for an LED. It is intended to fill the empty second floppy slot on a Macintosh SE that has been converted to a hard disk.

What you get

• One second drive-bay blanking plate with LED lens, in tough PETG.
• Blanking plate only: the computer, front bezel, LED, hard disk and adhesive are not included.
• It is printed in black, and how much LED light shows through has not yet been checked.

Intended for

The design is based on a blanking plate made for the Apple Macintosh SE, for dual-floppy models converted to a hard disk. We have not yet confirmed the fit on each model.

Check the fit

Check that your Macintosh SE has an empty second drive slot before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us with clear photos of the front of your computer, including the drive slots, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The designer glued the plate to the posts on the front bezel. Adhesive is not included.

Fitting needs access to the front bezel of a CRT all-in-one computer, so we advise that it is fitted by a professional or by someone experienced in working on these machines.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for the blanking plate, in black. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
