- The design is based on a lumbar plate the designer made to replace the cracked plate on their own Herman Miller Aeron chair with a lumbar pad. The designer printed theirs in a fairly rigid TPU and reports it working nicely so far. We have not yet confirmed the fit on this chair. The designer did not say which version of the Aeron their chair is, and lumbar parts may differ between Aeron versions.

Fitting
The lumbar plate is part of the lumbar pad, not a structural part of the chair. Please message us before ordering if you need to know how the plate attaches. Fit it carefully, check that the pad is held securely before regular use, and stop using it if the plate splits or cracks.
Material & finish
Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Flexible TPU is used for the lumbar plate, in black. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
