Using the mask
Seat it gently on the hood without touching the lens glass. Aim at a bright star, adjust focus until the central diffraction spike is centred between the other two, then remove the mask before taking your photographs. Do not force it onto an incompatible hood.
For night-time focusing only. This is not a solar filter and provides no protection for viewing or photographing the Sun.
Size and finish
The source model’s outside dimensions are approximately 115 × 115 × 11.5 mm; these are external dimensions, not a universal fitting diameter. Made to order in black PETG, with the fine layer lines normal to 3D printing.
