Commodore 1084S flap hinge repair inserts (pack of 2)

This pack of two hinge repair inserts is printed to order in tough PETG. They are intended to repair a broken hinge on the monitor's front flap, so you can keep the flap rather than replace it.

What you get

• Two pop-in hinge repair inserts in tough PETG.
• Inserts only: the monitor, the front flap and any screws or other fixings are not included.

Intended for

The design is based on a hinge insert made for the Commodore 1084S monitor. The designer describes it as a tested pop-in repair and shared a demonstration video. We have not yet confirmed the fit on each model.

Check the fit

Look at the broken hinge on your flap before ordering. If you have another version of the 1084 or you are unsure, message us with your monitor model and clear photos of the front flap and the broken hinge, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The insert is designed to pop into the hinge of the front flap. Switch off and unplug the monitor first, and do not open the monitor case to fit it: CRT monitors can hold a dangerous charge even after they are unplugged.

After fitting, check that the flap opens and closes freely.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for the inserts, in black. They are printed in black, which may not match the colour of your monitor. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
