Texas Instruments TI-89 battery door (4xAAA)

This replacement battery door is printed to order in tough PETG. It is for the compartment that holds the four AAA batteries, and is intended to replace a door that has been lost or whose latch has broken. It is the door only – the calculator and batteries are not included.

Intended for

The design is based on a battery door made for the original Texas Instruments TI-89. We have not yet confirmed the fit on each model.

The designer did not claim it for the TI-89 Titanium, TI-92 or Voyage, and this part is not intended for them.

Check the fit

Check that your calculator is an original TI-89 (not a Titanium) and compare the battery compartment with the photos before ordering. If you are unsure, message us with your calculator model and clear photos of the back of the calculator and the battery compartment, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The door has small tabs and a latch that clip into the calculator. Fit it gently and do not force the tabs, as they can break if bent too far. Check that the door stays closed before relying on it.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for the battery door, printed in black. This may differ from the colour of your original. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
