Leifheit Classic drying rack hinge (upper and lower part)

This replacement drying rack hinge is printed to order in tough PETG. It is a two-part hinge – an upper part and a lower part – intended to replace a hinge that has broken. The M5 nut and M5 screw that join the two parts are not included.

What you get

• One upper hinge part and one lower hinge part in tough PETG (two parts in total).
• Hinge parts only: the M5 nut, the M5 screw, the drying rack and any other rack parts are not included.

Intended for

The design is based on a hinge the designer made for an old Leifheit drying rack, which the designer titles Leifheit Classic. The specific rack model was not identified. The designer reports that the opening angle is close to the original, with an end stop on both sides. We have not yet confirmed the fit on each model.

Check the fit

Compare your original hinge with the photos before ordering, including how it is fixed to the rack. If you are unsure, message us with your rack model, if known, and clear photos of the hinge, so we can help identify what you need.

Fitting

The designer's assembly: place an M5 nut in the cutout in the lower part, join the upper and lower parts, and screw them together with an M5 screw. Do not overtighten the screw. The M5 nut and screw are not included. Please message us before ordering if you need to know how the hinge attaches to your rack. After fitting, open and fold the rack a few times and check that it opens fully and stands steady before hanging washing on it.

Material & finish

Printed to order in our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex. Tough PETG is used for the hinge parts, in black. Fine layer lines are a normal part of the 3D-printed finish.
